This policy explains how the DigiTruck UK app and operator portal ("DigiTruck UK", "we", "us") handle personal information. DigiTruck UK is a fleet‑compliance tool used by HGV operators to manage vehicle, driver, company and manager compliance records.
Where the UK GDPR applies, we rely on performance of a contract (providing the service to the operator) and legitimate interests (keeping the service secure and reliable). Operators are responsible for their own lawful basis for the records they enter about their drivers and staff.
Compliance data is held on the operator's own server infrastructure. Connections use encrypted HTTPS, passwords are stored only as secure hashes, and access is restricted by role and by the companies each user is permitted to see.
We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising. Data is accessible only to authorised users within the operator's organisation, and to any service providers strictly necessary to run the service (for example email delivery for reminders), who may only process it on our instructions.
Records are kept for as long as the operator needs them to meet their compliance and legal obligations, or until the operator deletes them or ends their use of the service.
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. As records are controlled by the operating company, please direct such requests to your operator in the first instance; we will support them in responding. DigiTruck UK is a workplace tool intended for professional use by operators and their staff. It is not directed at, or intended for use by, children.
